Hi guys. I’m taking part in the #100DayReset challenge with IIAA following their #FeedFortifyFinish philosophy to reset and renew my skin. IIAA consists of 3 brands; Advanced Nutrition Programme (Feed), Environ Skincare,(Fortify) and Jane Iredale (Finish). My first vlog went live a few days ago where I let you guys follow me around on Day 1 of the #100DayReset challenge so make sure you check that out and show the newbie some love. I’ll be updating you on day 30, 50, 90 and 100 of my skincare journey. I thought I’d follow up with a blog post to give you a more in depth breakdown of the products I was given to get on with.
To feed my skin and nourish it from the inside out I was given some supplements from the Advanced Nutrition Programme. If you remember I’ve already tried out and reviewed some of their products previously.
I was given Skin Accumax which I tried out before but honestly didn’t stick to as well as I should have done. This time I was advised to take 2-4 capsules a day with my meal. Taking 4 will ensure faster results so of course I’m taking 4 a day – I want the best results possible here, I’m not playing around. You can split this up throughout the day or take it all at once; I just find it easier to do it all at once. I’ve been taking this for just over a week and already all the little under the surface skin bumps and any texture I had has reduced significantly. I’ve had no breakouts – it’s been amazing. I’ll be getting my other half to try this out for definite because the results have been so quick.
In conjunction, I’m taking the Skin Vit C. I take 2 of these a day but you can take 1 if preferred. I already raved about these in my previous review, these help brighten my skin and fade away any scars very quickly. I’ve found that other brands of Vitamin C haven’t worked quite as well as these.
Environ Skincare is new to me. At my consultation I was told that our skin only really absorbs vitamins. Vitamin A is in most of their products as they believe it is the most important for great skin. Other ingredients are not really recognised by the skin so they don’t absorb into the skin; instead they sit on top of the skin and can only have so much effect on our skin.
Cleanse and Tone:
As I said in my vlog, I discovered that my skin is actually classified as oily. Because my skin doesn’t bring up oils so obviously throughout the day, I never really thought my skin was oily. I was given the B-Active Sebuwash. It comes out in a clear gel form; I use this with a little water to create mild foaming. The ingredients include salicylic acid (which is great for breakout prone skin), tea tree oil and castor oil which are great for controlling the oils in your skin. To tone my skin I was given the AVST Moisturising Toner which contains sage, thyme and rosemary.
To moisturise, I start off with the Youth EssentiA* Vita-Peptide Eye Gel. During my skin analysis I was shown that I had a few wrinkles around me eyes. I didn’t have many which is because I’m still young but I was given this to continue with the prevention of ageing around my eyes.
For the rest of my face, I was advised to apply a few pumps of the AVST Moisturiser 1 mixed with a few pumps of the Intensive Colostrum gel. It took some getting use to as I was accustomed to using serums or oils on my skin. But my skin has adjusted to using these lightweight formula moisturisers and I am impressed. I always thought oils would be better for my face. However I still love to use oils for my body and my hair.
To protect my skin, I was given RAD. During the summer I wear sun protection but other than that, with London’s gloomy weather, I didn’t really see the need to wear SPF. However, if you saw my vlog, you’d see that I was really shocked to find out that I have some sun damage (like really shocked LOL).
I have a collection of Jane Iredale products, some of which I’ve purchased myself and some that I’ve been sent so I was pretty much set to go on the Finish front. If you don’t know Jane Iredale specialises in mineral makeup that is actually good for your skin. There are way too many Jane Iredale products for me to list them all off in one go but I’ll take you through a few which I use for a simple every day makeup look.
The Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation (in Latte) is a staple in my daily makeup. I use the Enlighten Concealer (in Shade 2) to conceal any hyper pigmentation (which I have a lot of). Jane Iredale also does my favourite foundations; I use the Glow Time Mineral BB Cream Foundation (shade BB7 mixed with a little Tantasia) and the Liquid Minerals A Foundation (in Latte). For bronzer/contour I use the PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation in Velvet; I use very light application of this because it is dark. I use this over a bronzer because it’s matte and full coverage.
For my brows the PureBrow Brow Gel (in Brunette) has always been a favourite, and the new Retractable Brow Pencils (I use Dark Brunette) we were given at the Jane Iredale Press event have quickly became an addition to my favourites. For a quick eyeshadow look, I’ve been loving the Smooth Affair for eyes. These pots of joy can act as coloured eye lid primers or you can use them alone for a quick #ItOnlyTakesAMinute look; I also got these at the Jane Iredale Press Breakfast.
I’ll be back on day 30 with another #100DayReset update. I hope you guys have enjoyed my vlog as I’ll be uploading more of these in the future. If you’d like to see more videos, please like, comment and subscribe. Let me know what else you’d like to see!
Until next time.
