Hi guys! Today I’m going to be talking about the Beauty Heroes April box. Beauty Heroes features a different brand each month and sends you the “hero” products from the brand with a sidekick at a bargain price. The subscription service* is $39.90 (£27.40) per month plus shipping to the UK which costs an extra $18.95 (£13.31).This months Beauty Heroes box features some True Nature Botanicals products. It came with the True Nature Botanicals Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask with a sidekick of a deluxe sample of the True Nature Botanicals Pacific Face Oil.
Hillary Peterson, the founder of True Nature Botanicals is a thyroid cancer and melanoma surviver and she wants to prove that nature is luxury which I 100% stand behind. Non toxic skincare, hair and body care can be both effective and luxurious.
First lets talk about the Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask. It’s made of green and white tea, vegetable glycerin, lactic acid, mango and avocado butter, potato flour, jojoba oil, tuberose essential oil, star jasmine essential oil and neroli essential oil. 79% of the ingredients are organic. This mask is meant to exfoliate, soften and brighten your skin.
Many people use lactic acid masks to brighten their skin and fade dark spots or hyper pigmentation. The AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) is an exfoliating agent. This is something I always look for in a product because this is my main concern. I don’t break out often but when I do, I am almost always left with hyperpigmentation. I’ve been using this throughout April since I received it and I am really enjoying this mask. The directions say to use 1-2 times a week in the the evening and leave on for 2-5 mins if you have sensitive skin. You can leave it on for longer if you don’t have sensitive skin. Now this mask does sting/tingle when you first apply it. Me and my friend tried it at a sleepover and we were a little scared by how much it was stinging us in the first minute. However the stinging subsided and it was comfortable on the skin. I find that this is similar to the my Juice Beauty Apple Peel in Sensitive. However it is more heavy duty and tingles more than the Juice Beaty Apple Peel in Sensitive so it might be more similar to the full strength version.
It has 50ml of product in the jar and this will last you ages because you use such little product to cover your face. It retails for $90 (£63.34) which covers the cost of the box already. This product is as Kathleen Lights would say “esspensive” so I’m really happy that it’s included in the box because it would hurt me to purchase this full price. So far I have noticed that it has helped to get rid of any breakouts and has definitely given my skin a radiant glow. Some of my scars have lightened a little with regular use of this mask although I am using it 4 times a week (probably shouldn’t but I have some new and unwanted pigmentation that needs to go ASAP). I’m giving this product the Au Naturaliya-Seal-Of-Approval because it has worked quite quickly in lightening my scars and reducing breakouts.
The sidekick to this facemask was the True Nature Botanicals Pacific Face Oil. This was a sample size of 25oz which retails for $28 (£19.44) but the full size retails for $110 (£76.36). This is meant to be suitable for all skin types. It has some really nice ingredients including kiwi, papaya, passion fruit, chia and watermelon see oils. It’s quite difficult to get a feel for how the product works with sample sizes but this product worked well at balancing out my skin. It comes with a pipette which as you know, I adore.
Overall the April Beauty Heroes box included $118 (£81.91) worth of product which is great value for money.I was really pleased with this months subscription and I think True Nature Botanicals carry some really nice products. The products are pricey but I like the results that I am getting with the mask. I will definitely be continuing with my Beauty Heroes subscription because they continue to bring me quality products to try out that I may not have been willing to dish out on without testing out first. If you haven’t read my February and March Beauty Heroes reviews make sure that you do so. I think it’s really worth the money so let me know if you’re thinking of subscribing to next months Beauty Heroes box.
