Hi guys. I’m back again with a review of the Jane Iredale Powder-Me Dry Sunscreen review. If you haven’t heard of it before it’s an SPF powder that you can use to top up your sunscreen throughout the day which is great because we are meant to reapply sunscreen several times in the day for optimal sun protection.

Packaging and application
It comes in this travel friendly plastic packaging with a powder puff attached to the top. The idea is that you press this onto your face or body like you would with a powder puff.
It also has a mirror on top of the lid which is always appreciated.
Does it leave a white cast, you ask? I find that I do still need to go over the powder with a brush otherwise I’m just left looking a little bit like a sugar dusted victoria sponge cake.
However once I brush this in, it is translucent. It blends in very easily and slightly blurs out and imperfections. If I don’t want that matte effect I spritz over my face with a setting spray or facial spray. My favourites at the moment are the Evian Facial Spray and the Jane Iredale Hydration Sprays.
Also if you’re on the oilier side, this doubles as a way to minimise any shine or excess oil. It also soothes any inflammation from sunburn. Extra brownie points!
I guess you could use a powder foundation that contains SPF to top up on sun protection but this is so much more lightweight and won’t add extra cake to your face.
The Jane Iredale Powder-Me Dry Sunscreen costs £35 at full price but I have a discount code that you can use. Use the e-code IIAALOVEYOURSKIN to get 15% off at Jane Iredale and The Advanced Nutrition Programme. Or you can purchase it at the Specialist Sunscreen Centre for £27.50.
It’s a little pricey but I don’t find that I have to use much and I’ll be using it less frequently now that summer is over.
So when it come to sun protection the phrase ‘less is more’ does not reallllly apply. According to specialists we aren’t applying enough and you can never apply to much sunscreen.
If you’re sweating or swimming, it’s best to reapply because it causes sunscreen to wear off quicker. And if you’re convinced that water proof sunscreen is really completely waterproof or sweat-proof, think again babes. You will still need to reapply after some time.
The Powder-Me Dry Sunscreen has an SPF of 30 and is waterproof for up to 40 minutes.
Even though summer is leaving us, it’s still important to protect your skin and use SPF, topping up throughout the day. The Powder Me Dry Sunscreen is a really cool product because it means can apply it on top of your makeup and still be protected from the sun or if you don’t wear any makeup, you don’t have to worry about washing your hands or touching your face with your hands to apply suncream.
It definitely makes protecting your skin against the sun easier and more convenient. It’s travel friendly I just wish the puff was a little more useful so that I didn’t have to carry a brush as well but other than that I really like it.
It become a staple in my backpack all throughout summer and I will continue to carry it with me. It’s a little bulky compared to carrying a powder compact.
Overall, I think this is a really cool product. And it gets a thumbs up from me!
Until next time!
