The miracle of having a baby can bring about some rather…interesting hair changes. A lot of these changes are down to pregnancy hormones.
I really struggled for the first 3 months of being pregnant because not only had it got way drier, the curls had dropped towards the ends.
I wasn’t about to give up and reach for the straightener though; it was time to change my routine slightly to adapt to this change.
Deep conditioning became my best friend. Having already been a fan of Bouclemes Intensive Moisturising Treatment, I was about to take it to the next level.
I wet my curls and towel try them using the Boucleme Hair Towel. Then I apply a generous amount of the Intensive Moisture Treatment from the mid-lengths to the ends of my hair. Anything that is left in my hair I run lightly through the front of my hair.
I brush through this making sure my hair is evenly coated and then tied it up in a bun and leave this in for at least 2 hours. I love doing this before I head off to the gym, working out and I feel like the heat from my workout really helps to penetrate the product deeper into my hair. You can also wrap your hair up and leave it on overnight.
I then wash it out and style as usual. Voila!
If there’s a little frizz – embrace it. You’re pregnant after all – don’t be so hard on yourself.
