Hi guys. It’s the final day of Organic Beauty Week and I’m going to share my thoughts on some Pinks Boutique products. If you follow me on Instagram then you may be familiar with them as I did an Instagram takeover on Pink’s Boutiques IG as a part of Organic Beauty Week. I’ve recently been using the Pinks Boutiques Anti Ageing Deep Cleansing Melt and the Bamboo and Oatmeal Polish. These products are both Soil Association Organic Certified which is amazinggg!
This stuff is a pleasure to melt your makeup off your face with. It really does feel like a luxury product and it has great anti aging ingredients. It feels like a balm texture. I would really advise it for those of you with drier skin.
There are two ways that I like to use this.
If I am wearing makeup, I usually scoop out a 5p heaped amount and start massaging it into my skin without applying any water. I massage this in circular motions for at least a minute to generate to flow of oxygen. Then I add a little warm water and continue massaging in circular motions. Then I wipe it away with a warm muslin cloth. I then double cleanse with a foaming cleanser using my Clarosonic.
If I am not wearing makeup I sometimes still like a deep cleanse. I will massage a 5p heaped amount of the Anti Ageing Deep Cleansing Melt into my skin in circular motions. Then I apply a hot towel muslin cloth on top of my skin. I leave it on my face until the face towel cools down and then I wipe away all of the lovely gunk that’s come out of my pores. I reapply product and repeat this process again.
This is a luxury product. It retails for £42 which is expensive but if you’re into luxury products but want natural products, this is where it’s at. It comes in a lovely luxe glass jar. I reckon the product will last a while because I wouldn’t recommend deep cleansing more than twice a week although the instructions claim that it can be used daily. Because organic and natural products are so much more potent than conventional products (that have little concentration of active ingredients) they usually last way longer than your Simple face cleanser from Boots.
This is a dry girls best friend. If you don’t know already I’ve been getting dry patches on my face (probably getting old). This saved me and rebalanced my skin to how it once was. If you have dry skin you know that exfoliating is really important and I was going about it all the wrong way. I was using harsh exfoliants and over exfoliating my skin.
The Bamboo and Oatmeal Polish is such a fine exfoliant which I prefer; I find that they exfoliate better. However it’s also enriched with great ingredients like sunflower seed oil, shea butter, castor seed oil and coconut oil so it’s moisturising at the same time. It’s a weird one to describe, the exfoliating factor is way up there but it balances out with all the lovely oils and butters so my skin isn’t stripped.
This retails for £28.25 which can be seen as expensive for an exfoliator when you can get exfoliators from Superdrug for £3. However you get what you are paying for. You are paying for the Soil Assosication Organic Certified stamp of approval which is not easy to get. It is 87% Organic so you are paying for ingredients that take longer to grow and take more effort to grow. Non organic products are sprayed with pesticides and all sorts of other crap which makes it easier, quicker and cheaper to produce product. It doesn’t contain any of those horrible microbeads that end up in the ocean killing marine life.
This is a luxury product so the price point is very well justified. It contains 60g of product and you only really need 1g of product per use (a heaped 5p serving). It’s advised to only exfoliate with this twice a week so it should last you 60 uses which if used correctly should last you 7.5 months.
Both of these products have presently surprised me.
Both products are;
- Soil Association Organic Certified
- Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans
- Not tested on animals
- Free from Petroleums, GM ingredients, Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfates.
- Have no cheap bulkers and fillers, no synthetics.
- Gluten free
- Made in the UK
Within a few uses these products have taken away my recent dry skin issues so I have to give this product a thumbs up because I have been suffering for months with this. I really believe that this is down to the amount of organic ingredients that have gone into producing these products. I’ve been trying lots of different natural products but the amount of organic ingredients on the list may not necessarily be that high. It just goes to show that having organic ingredients makes such a big difference because they are stronger and more potent than conventional chemical ingredients or even just natural ingredients.
